Shipping policy
Accents for Living is located in Guelph, Canada and charges the sales taxes applicable in Ontario. Outside of Canada, we do not charge sales taxes at this time. Customers are responsible for paying import duties, brokerage fees and current tariffs if applicable. Not all items are subject to duties and tariffs. We ship to Canada and the U.S exclusively. If you live outside of the U.S and Canada please contact us and we can quote on a shipping charge.
Shipping:
- Canadian customers are responsible for paying all import duties and VAT and any fees associated with purchases from the Outlet portion of this website.
- Expedited shipping incurs an additional charge, which is calculated during checkout. Certain products, due to size, cannot be shipped expedited.
When to Expect a Shipment:
- In-stock items normally leave our warehouse within 72 hours via courier (Purolator, UPS, Fedex or Canada Post) from Guelph, ON. Other methods may ship more quickly, but incur an additional charge. Some of our larger items are considered oversize and may be shipped with a freight carrier.
- Please note STANDARD DELIVERY IS DOOR STEP ONLY. Delivery men do not enter the home or assemble the furniture. Most of the larger pieces come fully assembled. Please ensure you are comfortable with door step delivery, if not, please contact us to upgrade your service to White Glove Delivery. The White Glove delivery includes, unpacking, minor assembly, and garbage removal.
- All furniture is made to each order's specifications. Please allow 8 to 10 weeks for shipping.
- Express orders placed after 2:00 p.m. EST will ship the following business day.
- Please note that we do not fulfill orders on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
- Due to COVID-19 you may experience unprecedented delays. We ask for your patience during these times as we do our best to ensure all items get to our customers as quickly as possible!
UNIQUE DELIVERY SITUATIONS
Please let us know if there is a unique situation that the delivery company may encounter during delivery. Examples include- no elevator, small doorway, etc. Please make sure that items you have ordered fit through and into your desired destination prior to ordering.
LOCAL GUELPH OR OAKVILLE PICK-UP
We offer free local pick up from our Guelph and Oakville store for decor, lighting, rugs and small furniture. Any large or heavy items are only available for delivery due to limited storage space at our retail location. Please note this option is currently only available to local clients. Store hours are from Monday to Saturday 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm. We will contact you when your order is ready and pick up should be made within 7 days of being notified. Storage fees may apply if a product is warehoused for an extended amount of time.
IN STOCK FURNITURE
Furniture shipped from our warehouse will ship within 72 hours of your order date. You will receive an e-mail notification that contains your tracking number, so that you can verify time in transit information. Furniture stocked in our warehouse may be returned within 7 days of receipt; please call our Customer Service team at 519-822-2929 to arrange a return.
ART
All art will be custom printed when your order is received; please allow up to 8 weeks for your art to ship. You will receive an e-mail notification that contains your tracking number, so that you can verify time in transit information.
RETURNS
Incorrect, Damaged, or Missing Items
If your order is incorrect, damaged, or missing items, please contact Customer Service at info@accentsforliving.ca and we will arrange a return and replacement at our expense.. Products must be received in their original, unused condition and packaging.
